Wild lunch

Food, which we consume, can significantly impact our health and well-being, so it's important to pay more attention to it. Due to intensive farming, foods have started to lose the richness of nutrients, and thus, despite the large quantity of food, malnutrition can occur due to the lack of essential micronutrients.

Wild or wild-grown plants are a real treasure trove of micronutrients, as they develop them for their own defense. They are exposed to many hardships, as no one protects and spoils them. For our health and dietary variety, it's good to get to know their properties, recognize them, and, above all, use them beneficially.

The workshop, where we will prepare lunch predominantly from wild plants, is intended for adults who would like to enrich their meals with such plants, diversify their daily menus, and benefit from their beneficial effects. We will learn to recognize edible plants in nature, use them successfully in cooking, and also discuss how to store them effectively.

The workshop will be led by food technologist and mentor in the culinary lab, Iva Verbnik, who has been researching and educating herself in the field of nutrition and its impact on human health for 35 years. She is primarily interested in how to eat to remain as vital as possible, as well as how to deal with health problems.

The assembly of participants for the workshop is 5 minutes before the agreed time in the entrance hall of Center Rog.

The workshop will be conducted with a minimum of 6 registrations. In case of non-execution, you will be informed at the latest two days before the start of the program.

The workshop fees are non-refundable. Participation in the workshop can be transferred to another person; please inform us at least 24 hours before the start by email at: kuhanje@center-rog.si.
