RED&Pro: Design for a Regenerative Future
What if design could not only reduce harm, but also give something back to the environment and communities? Center Rog is one of 13 partners in the European research and innovation project RED&Pro – Regenerative Ecologies of Design and Production, which explores the potential of regenerative design and production. Over the next three years, six RED-Labs across Europe will investigate how design can contribute to regenerating local resources, knowledge, economies and communities.
As part of the project, Center Rog will lead the Slovenian RED-Lab, connecting local plant-based and agricultural resources with Rog’s production labs. Together with designers, researchers, craftspeople, local producers and communities, we will develop and test new materials, prototypes and approaches to local production.
The knowledge and solutions developed through the project will be open, adaptable and designed for further use in other contexts.
The project will be officially presented in November. Until then, you can follow its development on Instagram at @regenerative.eu.
