International Residency for Design Tandems: Far from Home
Home is not always a place. Sometimes it is an object, a habit, a material, or a feeling we carry with us.
Center Rog is launching an international open call for five design tandems to take part in the residency programme Far from Home. The residency invites participants to explore how mobility, migration, and living between places shape contemporary notions of home and belonging, and how design can respond to these experiences.
We welcome practitioners working across design, craft, architecture, engineering, digital fabrication, and related fields. Selected tandems will develop and produce a new prototype or product through a mentored online programme and an in-person residency in Ljubljana, with the outcomes presented during Rog Design Days 2027.
Applications are open until 30 October 2026 until midnight.
