Hanna Zabudska

Hanna Zabudska is a tapestry artist, textile conservator, and dyer based in Dublin, Ireland. At the heart of her artistic practice lies the tapestry—an object she likens to a gemstone, rich with layers of meaning and interpretation. She is drawn to intricate, multifaceted challenges in art, both in form and in concept. Through the language of textiles, she has learned to express not just visual narratives, but deeper emotions of peace and wonder. For Hanna, the entire creative journey—from design and planning to execution, exhibition, and audience engagement—is a harmonious cycle, a rewarding process, and an opportunity for growth. Her artistic path has been anything but linear. She believes that embracing seemingly impossible tasks is often the first step toward extraordinary achievement. This philosophy has led her to diverse roles and environments: from museum archives and academic drawing departments to teaching, television, manufacturing studios, and exhibition projects. Currently, she is thrilled to be an artist-in-residence at Center Rog, where she shares both her passion for weaving and her extensive expertise.

On weaver's residency from 15 - 30 June 2025.
