Emanuel Faria

Emanuel Faria is a designer from Portugal who completed his bachelor's studies in 2019 at the University of Madeira. After his studies, driven by curiosity, he began exploring paper recycling on his own initiative, combining it with his playful approach to design. During this process, he also developed an interest in biomaterials, which he had the opportunity to explore in 2023 and 2024 while participating in a European Solidarity Corps volunteering project in Slovenia. This was also when he first came into contact with Center Rog during a guided tour of the building, followed by attending Green Lab meetings and workshops in early 2024. During his residency at Center Rog, he will be expanding his knowledge of biomaterials while exploring and developing a mold for casting biomaterials.
