Dragan Hristov

Dragan Hristov is the designer behind the sustainable agender fashion label Ludus. Immersed in the influences of the city during his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts “Brera” in Milan he developed a keen enthusiasm for fashion design and art which would later merge and co-exist in the fashion label he started in 2010 in his hometown of Skopje. The development of the brand will be his main focus, working exclusively with natural fabrics, crafting minimalistic and sculptural silhouettes that reflect the gender shifts in Western societies. It was later that he discovered natural dyeing from a friend in the local community of slow fashion brands and decided to dive deeper into experimenting with botanical dyes in the studio. During the pandemic, he dedicated his time to further research and time-consuming experimentation that these ancient artisanal techniques require. Recently, he's also been appointed as the curator of Lab Design Market, a showroom for the community of Macedonian designers and artisans, that is a part of the center Laboratorium, located in the old print house of the former national daily newspaper "Nova Makedonija". Dragan is part of the Designer in Residency programme, supported by Culture Moves Europe, a project funded by the European Union.
