Headpiece with horns (in Slovenian)

On Carnival Saturday, we invite children to a creative and technology-focused workshop where they will design and make their very own unique carnival headpiece. The headpiece can be enhanced with glowing ears or horns, making the costume truly special.

In the workshop, participants will work with modern technologies such as 3D printing and laser cutting. First, children will learn how a 3D printer works. They will then choose ears or horns from pre-prepared models, which will be printed individually for them. The selected pieces will be sewn onto a fabric headband, and an LED light will be added and connected to a battery and switch using conductive thread.

In the final part of the workshop, participants will use scissors to cut decorative elements from felt and further embellish their headbands according to their imagination. They will also learn how similar pieces can be made using a laser cutter.

The workshop is designed for children aged 8 to 14 who want to create a unique carnival costume while also learning the basics of 3D printing and laser cutting.

Participants should gather 15 minutes before the program starts in the main lobby of Center Rog. Please store personal belongings in the lockers provided by the instructor. Please arrive on time, as late entry cannot be guaranteed and may disrupt the workshop.

The program is conducted in Slovenian, unless otherwise specified.

In case of cancellation, you will be notified two days before the scheduled start.

If you are unable to attend, the fee is non-refundable and the session cannot be rescheduled. Participation can be transferred to another person if you notify us at least 24 hours in advance at fablab@center-rog.si.
