Refreshing ice cream is just the thing in the summer heat - especially when served in a unique cup you've created yourself. Join us for a creative workshop in our ceramics lab, where we'll roll up our sleeves, get our imaginations flowing and create our very own ice cream cups out of clay.

We will use one of the most basic and simple clay techniques - pinching or pinching - to create two unique cups. The cups will be painted and engobed at the end.

After the workshop, the ceramics lab team will glaze and fire the pieces to make them durable and ready to use - just in time for summertime sweetening with your favourite ice cream.

About the mentor:

The workshop will be led by Pia Mršek, an interior and ceramic designer and mentor in the ceramics lab. She focuses on exploring sculptural furniture design and functional ceramics. Her work involves slab building, coiling, and wheel throwing techniques. She also incorporates other materials to add functionality to her ceramics.

Participants should gather 15 minutes before the scheduled time in the entrance hall of Center Rog. Please store your personal belongings in the lockers shown by the mentor. Do not be late as this disrupts the workflow. Entry to the lab cannot be guaranteed in case of delay.

The program is conducted in Slovenian unless otherwise noted.

In case of cancellation, you will be informed two days before the planned start.

If you cannot attend, the fee is non-refundable, and rescheduling is not possible. You may transfer your spot to another person by notifying us at least 24 hours before the program at: steklokeramika@center-rog.si

We look forward to your company and creative collaboration.
