In this hands-on workshop on balanced meal planning, you will acquire essential skills for preparing tasty, varied, and nutritious meals in advance—quickly, efficiently, and stress-free. We invite everyone who wants to better organize their nutrition, save time and money, and reduce the daily dilemma of deciding what to eat.

You will learn how to plan a weekly menu, choose ingredients wisely, optimize shopping, and organize your kitchen workflow so that meal preparation takes as little time as possible. We will cover principles of preparing dishes that can be enjoyed over several days, as well as practical tips for combining ingredients into diverse and balanced meals. Special attention will be given to proper storage, cooling, and freezing of food, portioning, and safe food handling, ensuring that your meals remain fresh, tasty, and nutritious throughout the week.

During the workshop, we will also prepare dishes using functional ingredients from Nonstop, such as ground brewers’ spent grains, pumpkin cake, and wine pomace. These are nutritious by-products of the food industry, rich in fiber, protein, antioxidants, and minerals, and a perfect example of sustainable ingredient use. We will explore their properties, flavors, and ways to easily incorporate them into everyday meals to enhance your diet.

Participants will prepare a variety of dishes, specially designed for this workshop by Alja Poharc (Dobro počutje – Well-being):

  • High-fiber vegetable and feta cheese casserole
  • Oven-baked pancakes
  • Two different spreads (protein-rich and fiber-rich)
  • Quinoa salad with roasted sweet potato

You will leave the workshop not only with new knowledge for organizing and planning your meals, and fresh recipes, but also with the dishes prepared during the session. Please bring your own containers to take your prepared meals home.
