Let’s Clean the Home Without Chemicals (in Slovenian)
19. 2. 2026
Do you still think vinegar is only good for salad, even though it has been considered one of the most versatile natural cleaners for centuries? Have you heard of the foaming “super-cleaner” that softens grime and helps clean drains?
Join our workshop, where we will refresh your knowledge of sustainable cleaning methods, known already to the ancient Romans.
We will dive into the world of cleaning products and learn how to identify harmful chemicals in everyday items. You will discover why some ingredients can be harmful to health and the environment, and how simple, safe ingredients can be used to make effective homemade cleaners that are safer for both people and the planet.
Together, we will recognize potentially risky substances and learn how to read and understand product labels. We will explore which ingredients are safe, effective, and suitable for homemade cleaners, as well as their properties and effects. Special emphasis will be placed on how to combine ingredients correctly to maximize cleaning efficiency.
The workshop is hands-on: participants will make their own all-purpose cleaner, cleaning paste, and surface disinfectant. Along the way, you will learn proper handling of tools, as well as hygiene and safety guidelines for making cleaners. We will also cover the importance of recording used ingredients, preparation procedures, and correctly labeling finished products.
By the end of the workshop, participants will leave equipped with practical knowledge for everyday use, enabling a more conscious, healthy, and sustainable approach to cleaning at home.
