Restore Your Skateboard/Longboard

Over time, any skateboard or longboard that is regularly used shows signs of wear, often most visible on the underside of the deck. Since skateboards are typically made from layered, glued wood, they can be disassembled, sanded, and restored.

In this workshop, we will restore old skateboards and longboards, giving them a fresh, new look with unique inlay designs. This process will breathe new life into them and turn them into one-of-a-kind pieces.

Participants will learn:

• Basic tools and techniques for handcrafting wood
• The process of creating inlay designs
• How to disassemble and reassemble a skateboard

No prior experience is required, but it is recommended that you bring your own skateboard or longboard that you would like to restore.

Participants should gather 15 minutes before the scheduled session in the entrance hall of Center Rog. Please store personal belongings in the lockers provided by the instructor. Punctuality is essential, as late arrivals may disrupt the workflow. Entry to the lab cannot be guaranteed in case of lateness.

The program is conducted in Slovenian unless otherwise indicated.

If the workshop is canceled, participants will be notified two days before the planned start date.

Participation fees are non-refundable, and rescheduling is not possible. Attendance can be transferred to another person, but please inform us at least 24 hours before the start of the program at: les@center-rog.si.
