Elephant Pendant

In the jewelry lab workshop, we will create a beautiful metal pendant in the shape of an elephant entirely by ourselves – a unique piece of jewelry that we can wear or give to a loved one. Working with metal is simple enough even for beginners, while also combining creativity and manual skills.

First, following the mentor’s instructions, we will cut out the outline of the elephant from a sheet of metal. Then we will carefully file, sand, and smooth the edges so they are pleasant to the touch. We will also learn to make connecting links, which will allow us to attach the pendant to a chain or cord at the end.

In the workshop, we will master three key metalworking skills:

• precise sawing according to the drawing,
• careful sanding of edges for safe wearing,
• making a practical connecting link.

This knowledge can later be used in future projects as well.

You are invited to the workshop, where we will create a pendant that will have not only aesthetic but also symbolic meaning. The elephant is considered a symbol of luck and protection.

The workshop is intended for young people aged 14 to 18 years.

Participants should gather 15 minutes before the scheduled start in the entrance hall of Center Rog. Please store your personal belongings in the lockers shown to you by the mentor. Do not be late, as this disrupts the workflow. In case of being late, entry to the lab cannot be guaranteed.

The program is conducted in Slovenian, except where otherwise noted.

In case of cancellation, we will inform you two days before the planned start.

If you cannot attend the program, fees are not refunded, and it is not possible to change the date. Participation can be transferred to another person, for which we ask you to notify us at least 24 hours before the program start at nakit@center-rog.si.
