Holiday Care: The Best Holidays Ever

The Potato Holidays at Center Rog will be creative and active. During the three-day program “The Best Holidays Ever”, children will enjoy play, sports, and social activities while creating a variety of useful items. They will also prepare their own breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Participants will learn the basics of sewing, starting as apprentices by making their own bookmark, and then, step by step through cutting, drawing, and embroidery, they will create and sew a real T-shirt with a unique design of their own making. In the food lab, under the guidance of our mentors, we will satisfy hungry tummies by preparing breakfasts, lunches, and snacks. We will cook delicious dishes such as pumpkin soup, sausages in pastry, jota, cheese dumplings with raspberry sauce, pizza, and fruit skewers with white chocolate. Even though it’s autumn, one day we will make and enjoy vegan ice cream.

The program is designed for children aged 8 to 12 who enjoy creative, cooking, and physical activities. Through these activities, we will combine creativity, practical and social skills, movement, healthy eating, and the joy of preparing food and playing together.

The program will take place from Monday to Wednesday, from 27 to 29 October 2025, between 8:00 and 16:00.

About the Mentors:

The program is run in partnership with Brigita Ložar from Studio Trmoglavka and Sara Rode from the Association Napredni Otroci. Brigita Ložar is a self-employed seamstress and designer with extensive experience leading sewing and creative workshops for all age groups. Co-mentor Sara Rode is a qualified primary school teacher, early childhood educator, and Montessori teacher, as well as a certified meditation instructor, with experience in animation, fitness pedagogy, cooking, and experiential workshops for children.

Upon drop-off and pick-up of a child attending holiday care, 15 minutes of free parking is available in the Center Rog garage. Access to the garage is via Petkovškovo Nabrežje.

Holiday care will take place with a minimum of 7 registrations. In case of cancellation, you will be notified no later than Wednesday, 22 October 2025, and the fee will be refunded.

Cancellation without stating a reason is possible up to 7 days before the start of the program, in which case 70% of the paid fee will be refunded. For later cancellations, the fee will not be refunded.

In case of cancellation, attendance can be transferred to another person; please notify us by email at info@center-rog.si. If a child cannot attend due to health reasons, the fee will be refunded upon submission of a medical certificate.
