Morning robe for Mother's Day
2. 3. 2024

As Mother's Day approaches, we have prepared a special workshop where we will create a unique morning robe - a wonderful gift for Mother's Day, and of course, you can also make it for yourself.
The robe, resembling a kimono in its shape, will be cut from simple rectangular pattern pieces, and we will learn to use both industrial and household sewing machines. We will make a long version of the robe, which can also serve as a light dress in the summer.
Participants can use bed linen with an interesting print instead of metered fabric; the more beautiful the print, the nicer the robe will be, as the fabric truly stands out with this item.
Material needs to be brought along, approximately 5 meters of fabric.
Is prior knowledge required for participation in the workshop?
YES, the course is intended for adults who already know how to sew on a household or industrial sewing machine.
Does participation in the workshop also count as training?
YES, you will undergo training for the sewing workstation (valued at 30 EUR for members/40 EUR for non-members), and next time you will be able to use the sewing workstation independently during open sessions.
The workshop will be led by mentors from the textile lab, Urša Špeh, an architect by education, and also a trained tailor, designer, and seamstress, along with Ana Meljo, an expert in historical costumes and manual decorative techniques.
Participants are to meet 5 minutes before the agreed time in the entrance hall of the Center Rog.
We do not refund workshop fees, nor is it possible to change the date. Participation in the workshop can be transferred to another person; please inform us at least 24 hours before the start at the email address: textile@center-rog.si.
