Wooden basket (in Slovenian)

In the Wood Lab, we have prepared a creative workshop for children, where aspiring young carpenters will explore the magic of wood. They will make unique wooden baskets, each one different in size, shape, and imagination.

Children will work with thin wood veneers, learning how veneer can be gently bent, shaped into interesting forms, and joined with wood glue. The final dimensions of the baskets will be roughly defined, but everything else will be left to their creativity and inspiration, making each basket truly one of a kind.

Kids can create their own basket for fruit or to store little treasures, while also learning through play and hands-on work what veneer is and why it is such a versatile material. The workshop is also a wonderful opportunity to make a basket that can beautifully complement the upcoming Easter holidays.

This workshop is designed for children aged 8 to 12.

About the Mentor

The workshop will be led by Anže Jenko, mentor in the Wood Lab at Center Rog.

Participants should arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time in the main lobby of Center Rog. Please store your personal belongings in the lockers, which the mentor will show you. Do not be late, as late entry cannot be guaranteed and disrupts the workflow.

The program is conducted in Slovenian, except where stated otherwise.

If we need to cancel the workshop, you will be informed two days before the scheduled start.

If you cannot attend, the fee is non-refundable and the date cannot be changed. Your spot can be transferred to another person if you notify us at least 24 hours in advance at les@center-rog.si.
