Creative Use of 3D Scanning (in Slovenian)
26. 2. 2026
Would you like to create your own mini version of an object, design a mask based on your face, or make a coat hanger shaped by your hand?
Join our two-day workshop exploring the creative possibilities of 3D scanning. Participants will scan various objects of their choice, digitally process them, and prepare them for 3D printing. From the scanned shapes, new, unique 3D-printed objects will be created.
In the first session, we will cover the basics of 3D scanning technology: how scanners work, which types of objects and bodies can be scanned, and the limitations and opportunities this technology offers. We will work with Meshmixer, a free software that allows for customizing and creatively editing scanned models.
For the second session, bring your own objects to work with — or, if you wish, we can also scan ourselves. Participants will develop individual projects combining 3D scanning, digital editing, and design. Through hands-on work and mentor guidance, each participant will create a final model ready for 3D printing, turning digital models into tangible, finished objects.
No prior experience in 3D scanning or 3D modeling is required. Please bring your own laptop to the workshop.
