Products Made from Propolis (in Slovenian)

Propolis is a natural bee product that bees use to protect their hive from pests and bacteria. It is rich in natural resins, essential oils, vitamins, and flavonoids, and has been valued for centuries for its remarkable medicinal properties.

Why choose propolis?

Propolis is a natural weapon against bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Thanks to its anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties, it is commonly used for:

• Supporting the immune system
• Protecting the oral cavity and throat
• Skin care
• Nutritional supplementation

This workshop will not focus on the technology of extracting propolis, but on its practical uses and how to incorporate it correctly into daily life.

After a short introduction, participants will create three propolis-based products to take home. Using precise recipes, you will be able to make these products yourself in the future.

We will make:

• Propolis Lip Balm with honey and virgin beeswax
• Propolis and Honey Soap (propolis nourishes the skin and has regenerative properties, while honey is also antiseptic)
• Propolis Honey Lollipops (propolis helps relieve throat pain, mouth ulcers, and other oral issues)

About the Mentor

The workshop will be led by Janja Likar, a beekeeper, certified apitherapist, and herbalist, who creates under the brand JanjaBee. She shares her knowledge of bee products and herbs in workshops and lectures across Slovenia, explaining topics in a practical and easy-to-understand way. More at: www.janjabee.si

Participants should gather 15 minutes before the start of the program in the main lobby of Center Rog. Please store personal belongings in the lockers provided by the instructor. Please arrive on time, as late entry cannot be guaranteed and may disrupt the workshop.

The program is conducted in Slovenian, unless otherwise specified.

In case of cancellation, you will be notified two days before the scheduled start.

If you are unable to attend, the fee is non-refundable, and the session cannot be rescheduled. Participation can be transferred to another person if you notify us at least 24 hours in advance at zeleni@center-rog.si
