LED Lighting and Arduino Workshop (in Slovenian)

In the FabLab, we invite you to a creative and technology-focused workshop where we will explore the world of LED lighting and take our first steps into the world of microcontrollers. Through hands-on work, we will learn how to use light in different ways, while also mastering the basics of working with Arduino.

We will program in C++, assemble our own electronic circuits, and learn basic soldering techniques. Each participant will test their program in practice by controlling an LED strip, bringing their ideas to life. Step by step, we will combine electronics, programming, and creativity into a fully functional project.

In addition to the electronics work, we will also explore digital fabrication. Using a laser cutter, we will design our own motif on plexiglass, which together with the LED strip will become a unique lamp. By the end of the workshop, each participant will take home a fully functional, programmed, and one-of-a-kind light creation.

This workshop is suitable for anyone interested in LED technology and who wants to learn the basics of Arduino, electronics, and digital material processing. The only requirement is to bring your own laptop and curiosity – we will take care of the rest together.

About the Mentor

The workshop will be led by Grega Matjan, mentor at FabLab.

Participants should arrive 15 minutes before the program starts in the main lobby of Center Rog. Please store personal belongings in the lockers, which the mentor will show you. Do not be late, as late entry cannot be guaranteed and disrupts the workflow.

The program is conducted in Slovenian, except where stated otherwise.

If the workshop is canceled, you will be informed two days before the scheduled start.

If you cannot attend, the fee is non-refundable and the date cannot be changed, but your spot can be transferred to another person if you notify us at least 24 hours in advance at fablab@center-rog.si.
