Results of the public call for the Makers in Residency program 2025
The Makers in Residency 2026 programme brings together international creatives who will collaboratively develop, through a hands-on and practice-based process, a response to one of the most tangible impacts of climate change: the overheating of urban environments.
The open call was open from 28 January to 15 March 2026, and an international jury selected seven participants for the residency.
The residents will begin developing the group project online, before continuing with a ten-day making process at Center Rog. The project will be presented to the Center Rog community on 6 June 2026 as part of the Neighbour Day event.
Through a practical process of design and making, the participants will explore how open-source and replicable solutions can contribute to greater community resilience in the face of pressing climate challenges. The final outcome of the residency will be a collective design project for a shading structure, published under a Creative Commons license. This will allow the project to be freely used, adapted, and further developed in other contexts.
