Opportunity for Young People: Urban Incubator X Mladi Rog

This year, Mladi Rog is partnering with the Mestni inkubator, a program by Mladi zmaji that supports young people in realizing their ideas in Ljubljana. Young people working on projects in areas such as craftsmanship, product design and fashion, architecture and engineering, material technology, and culinary arts will gain even more knowledge throughout the process. The Mestni inkubator helps from the idea stage to project realization, teaching planning skills and providing support in bringing ideas to life.

Applications opened on September 6, 2024, and the deadline for applications is October 6, 2024. Up to 20 ideas will be selected for the program. The fund for ideas is €30,000.

• What does the program include? - The program includes three workshops for idea development, mentorship and financial support, access to coworking spaces, and use of the production labs at Center Rog. In addition, you will connect with others working on similar ideas, promote your project, and take part in a final workshop for reflection and celebration.
• What will I gain from participating? - Each participant gains exactly what they need at the time. You will learn to clearly define your idea, set goals, explore different solutions, create a project plan, work with others, lead a team, publicly present your idea, make decisions, persist, and let go of things. You will also meet new people, have access to coworking spaces, join a community, and learn to work independently.
• Is the Mestni inkubator X Mladi Rog right for me? - The program is for anyone living in Ljubljana, coming to the capital for study or work, or those who return to their hometowns on weekends. It’s designed for young people between 18 and 29 years old who are just starting their professional journey and are looking for opportunities and a creative community.
• What should my idea be like? - It should be something that excites you and pushes you to explore and realize it. You might even be a little scared of it.
• Can I apply with a team? - Collaborators are more than welcome! So don't hesitate- get someone else excited about your idea.
