We are proud to be collaborating with CRAFT Limoges, a renowned centre for porcelain research, in a project to organise residencies for young ceramists and ceramicists from Slovenia and France.

We are developing artistic exchanges with partner organisations, through which 1 young ceramic artist from Slovenia will be able to go to France for a residency. At the same time, 1 young French ceramicist will come to Center Rog for a residency.

We are delighted to have been able to host Pauline Male, Director of CRAFT Limoges, and Gaëlle Gerbault, Project Manager from Nouvelle-Aquiteine, for a study visit at Center Rog between 7 and 13 June 2025. During the seven-day visit, we visited promising young and established Slovenian artists exploring the possibilities of handicraft practices, with a focus on ceramic and porcelain design.

In July 2025, Center Rog team came to Limoges, France, for a study trip. During four days, the head of the glass and ceramics lab, Brigita Gantar, and the mentor and project manager, Anja Radović, learned about the history of the city and the industry that is still closely linked to the production of porcelain, for which the city has been famous since the 18th century. They visited various designers, producers and local educational institutions.

Autumn at Center Rog will definitely be marked by porcelain.

As part of two one-week residencies, we will host French artists Aurélie Vrignon and Dora Stanczel, who will share their knowledge and experience in master classes in the medium of porcelain.

Aurélie Vrignon has been dedicated to porcelain casting for many years and has been running her brand L'Atelier du Blanc for more than a decade. At Center Rog, she will hold a master class in porcelain casting, where we will make an Advent village out of porcelain, which will decorate the New Year's tree in the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia in December.

With Dora Stanczel, we will delve into the understanding of Limoges porcelain – a material that is both flexible and unpredictable, requiring specific knowledge and skills for free creation.

We are also looking forward to the upcoming international exchanges between Center Rog and CRAFT Limoges. Slovenian ceramicist Pia Mršek will be heading to France for a one-month residency for professional training. At Center Rog, we will be hosting French student Ingrid Montier.
