Anastasia Young

English jewelry designer Anastasia Young is a renowned author and lecturer. She graduated from the Royal College of Art and Central Saint Martins College, where she taught and led short courses in jewelry making for 20 years. Anastasia has authored four books on jewelry making techniques, translated into seven languages, and considered essential professional literature in the field of jewelry design and production. She was appointed to the board of The Association for Contemporary Jewellery in 2017 and is also a member of the Hand Engravers Association and Society of Jewellery Historians. Anastasia's eclectic jewelry often stems from projects driven by a combination of ideas and technical exploration; she uses the narrative offered by each piece – both the design and form of the work as well as its display when not worn or used. Examples of her work are in the permanent collections of the Science Museum in London and the Central Saint Martins Museum. She recently received a silver award for copper engraving from the Goldsmiths' Craft and Design Council. She is interested in the interdisciplinary use of traditional craft skills and techniques in contemporary practice. As part of the Slovenian Jewelry Week she will held a masterclass workshop in Center Rog on Stone Inlay with Silver Wires.
